I had to read it twice before I came to the conclusion that I loved it, but I really, really love it. Melissa, you should read it... in your spare time. (Heh.) Another book by Green, An Abundance of Katherines, is also rather good... NOT as good as this one, but I do love the main character as much as I love Pudge. I love this book. I had to read it twice before I came to the conclusion that I loved it, but I really, really love it.

It's almost like I didn't really realize that I loved it until I was done. (I wrote the review post a few minutes after finishing it.) I couldn't put it down, and I was totally drawn in by it, and I knew there was something special about it, but it didn't really all come together for me until I closed it after finishing the last page, and I sat there and went, "Hmmm." And basically decided that I was just wowed by it. The sticking point was that I, personally, kind of hated Alaska a lot of the time while I was reading, but then I realized that was okay, and that was kind of the point ~ that people are SO imperfect and maddening and damaged, and we love them anyway.
