That's not how I felt at all. When i saw this book I knew I had to read it. the cover is so tantalizing and beautiful. The story so fresh and modern. This is a great read!! Weird. I WANTED to like this book so much, because I loved the Pants books too and really love those characters (since I am excessively fond of books about female friendship, it's pretty much the ideal series for me), and I like tween books a lot, so I should have liked this book a lot. I liked it ok, but I didn't love it. I agree that jumping straight into a fractured friendship didn't work, and that the framing device and the attempts to get the Pants girls into the story were ineffective. Although I was happy to get some updates on the Pants girls. That’s pretty much exactly how I felt.
