This is a very belated comment, but I wanted to say "Thank you!" for originally posting this review -- I had similar fears about the series, but reading your review made me pick it up (on audiobook) and I was HOOKED. I finally finished the very last disk of CITY OF GLASS this morning and I agree completely. One of the BEST endings of a YA series I have read. I don't end up reading a lot of series because so often the first one is good, but the characters are not so very compelling that I want to read more of their adventures. But I always wanted more of all these characters, everyone from Clary to Simon to Magnus Bane. I loved it, but I don't know that I would have started in on it without this review, so thank you!

Although... I haven't quite decided how I feel about CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS. The ending to COG was so great I am a little worried about a let down when we see what happens afterward.
